To King Carl Gustaf's 50th birthday Olle Ohlsson was commissioned by the Crafts Association to create a stick in silver, with handle in sculptural form. This was then handed over to His Majesty by the artist himself at the courtship at the castle.

The silver artist has subsequently received the Royal Court's appreciation by awarding him Prince Eugén's medal after completing the retrospective exhibition at Waldemarsudde 2005.
